Dr. William N. Sokol
Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Specialist
Dr. William Sokol is a Board-Certified Internist and Allergist, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is a Doctor of Medicine licensed to practice in the state of California. Dr. Sokol received his medical degree from Ohio State University and completed his internship at Harbor General/U.C.L.A. Hospital.
His residency in Internal Medicine was completed at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, where he obtained certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology at Harbor General Hospital and U.C.L.A. Hospitals. Following this fellowship, he obtained certification from the American Board of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, a conjoint board of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Sokol has been a member of the clinical faculty at the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine since completing his fellowship, serving as a Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Allergy. He has published more than 70 articles in leading scientific journals, written several chapters on asthma and rhinitis, described new forms of occupational asthma and anaphylaxis, and continues to publish the results of his clinical research in medical literature.
Dr. Sokol is a member of the Orange County Medical Society and the California Medical Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and the American College of Allergy. He is also a member of the Landacre Research Society and serves on the Educational Advisory Board of the Orange County Lung Association.
Dr. Sokol is a past president of both the California State Allergy Society and the Orange County Society of Allergy. He has been in private practice in Allergy since completing his fellowship at Harbor General and U.C.L.A. He serves as an editor for the Journal of Clinical Immunology and Infectious Disease and the Journal of Clinical Therapeutics, and as a reviewer for the Journal of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
Dr. Sokol has been repeatedly elected to Best Doctors in America by his peers and was selected as one of the Top Doctors in Orange County for 2026.
Dr. Loula A. Amin
Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Specialist of Pediatrics
Dr. Loula A. Amin is a Board-Certified pediatrician and allergist, licensed to practice medicine in the state of California. She earned her medical degree from Ain Shams University School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt, and completed her internship at Khartoum Civil Hospital and Munira Hospital in Sudan. She then served as a medical officer at Khartoum Civil Hospital for two years.
Dr. Amin completed her pediatric residency at the University of California, Irvine, where she first became board certified in Pediatrics. She went on to pursue a fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at UC Irvine and received board certification in both pediatric and adult allergy through the American Board of Allergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology—a conjoint board of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.
Throughout her career, Dr. Amin has held several leadership roles, including Chief of Staff and Chair of the Department of Allergy and Immunology at Cigna Healthcare, and later Head of the Department of Allergy and Immunology at Friendly Hills Healthcare Center.
She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field of allergy and currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Allergy, at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Amin has also been a clinical associate in the office of Dr. William N. Sokol since 2001.
